Your Natural Pro Golf Swing

Hi.

My name is Arlin Audrain.

Read this. You'll be glad you did.

Did you ever try to describe a feeling?

It's easier to describe an object isn't it?

You've seen hundreds or even thousands of still and moving pictures of golfers in action.

You've pictured the swings of the pros you most admire and you've tried to copy them.

Golf magazines have displayed stop action photos of your favorite pros and described  the good and bad aspects of every position.(based on the article writer's opinion of a perfect swing)

They generally break the swing into six positions: 1. The address 2. The takeaway 3. The top of the backswing 4. The  downswing 5. The impact 6. The follow through.

You study the pictures and then you practice them at the driving range or on the course.

Doesn't help.

There are four reasons why:

1. The human mind can only effectively concentrate on one thing at a time, so when you try to copy Ernie Els' top of the back swing position for example, the rest of your personal swing gets bogged down around this new top position and everything gets out of sync. You become trapped in the top of the backswing with no idea of how to get there or how to get out of it.

2. When you're copying someone else's swing positions, the vital thing you DON'T get is the FEEL of the position. The pictures don't ever help you get the feel of the position., so what Ernie Els feels at the top of his backswing may be totally different from what you feel in that position. Thus when you're standing there on the range you're picturing the position in your mind and you're assuming that what you feel is the right position.

3. Every golfer is built differently and has more or less flexibility and limitations. The only way you could possibly swing like Erni Els is to be Ernie Els.

4. Even the pros can't put their swing into words that make sense. I've  watched videos of pros explaining their golf swing. As they describe their moves, and what they're doing, I'm seeing something quite different from what they think they're doing.  Most pros have a natural swing but they can't  describe accurately what they're doing because they are feeling it not seeing it.

You have a natural swing in you as good as or better then Ernie's or Tiger's. You just have to allow it.

You cannot get the feel of a good swing from a picture of someone else. That's why all the golf videos and magazine articles don't revolutionize our games .

The pros all use teachers and coaches to help them, but the coaches work with the pros' natural swing.

Stay with me and I'll show you a simple path to your great pro swing.

When I discovered mine, I went from a 12 handicap to a 3 in short order. I increased my drive from 250 yards to 320 consistently. I hit an eight iron around 170 now. Imagine how much better an eight iron approach shot to the green can be than a five or six iron.

So how do we go about discovering our natural pro swing and developing it?  This is exciting stuff !
